The branding assignment for the Historic Castner-Knott blends history and modernity, honoring a downtown Nashville landmark while positioning it for the future. Tasked with refreshing the brand during a new phase of renovations, the goal was to create a visual identity that respects the building’s legacy, from its 1898 founding to its architectural evolution, while introducing updated elements that reflect its renewed relevance. Preserving the original font maintained a sense of continuity, while modern design choices brought cohesion, energy, and a forward-looking feel to the historic space.
